NEER supported a Field Team (led by Navid Jafari (LSU), with deployment assistance by Forrest Masters (UF) and Kirby Herbert (LSU)) to deploy 8 wave gages around the levees at Golden Meadows, LA. Post-storm surveys and instrument recovery were conducted by Navid, Jasmine Bekkaye, Omar Ulloa, Alborz Fathinezhad, and Omar Alwaneh (LSU). The observations will be used in conjunction with wind and rain measurements collected by the WG-DIAP team, and coastal wave and surge measurements obtained by USGS colleagues to investigate inland surge propagation and flows, and the affects of vegetation.
