A NEER-supported Field Team (led by Navid Jafari, LSU) and Home Team (led by Jim Chen, Northeastern U.) deployed wave, water level, and pore pressure gages, conducted sediment shear stress estimates, and surveyed morphology and vegetation prior to Tropical Storm Cristobal. Following the storm the teams conducted post-event surveys at the deployment site in Terrebone Bay near Cocodrie, LA, as well as surveying storm impacts to St. Bernard Parish and Breton Sound. We thank the NHERI RAPID Equipment Facility for rapidly sending a drone and penetrometer to the field site for the event.
